It’s a tradition in India to go for matchmaking of horoscopes of prospective bride and bridegroom.  Parents of girl look forward for an ideal husband for their daughter and parents of boy look forward for an ideal wife for their son. Let us try to understand what should be the important things we need to check for an ideal husband or the prospective bridegroom astrologically.

The boy in question should have

1. Long life – It is easy to understand as in India and in South East Asian countries even today the wife’s are not working. In case of widowhood there would be additional problem of finances. More so the problem of putting up children without husband is also a problem. Also the problem of remarriage will occur in case of death of husband at early age and fate of children would also get connected to it. In Astrology houses 1 5 9 10 11 increase longevity whereas houses 6 8 12 and Badhak reduce longevity.

2. Good health – The prospective bridegroom should also enjoy good health. We must analyse that the boy should not get bed ridden and should not suffer from any chronic disease at young age. For good health houses are 1 5 9 11 and houses of bad health are 6 8 12 and 4 10.

3. Understanding nature or good nature–Naturally the husband should take care of the wife and children after marriage. The nature of the boy is key factor which will make the married life happy. Following aspects should be considered for the nature of the boy

·                   Aggressive nature: For aggressive nature check number of 7,8,12 combinations in the planets. If combination 7,8,12 appears in 4 or more planets then the nature is aggressive. However if it appears similarly in girl’s horoscope also then we can give a second thought to the Horoscope. The boy should not have this combination in majority of planets.

·                   Depression: 2,1,6,8 is combination of depression and lack of confidence which should not appear in majority of planets. If boy will be depressive and lacks confidence in nature you can understand it is really difficult for wife to withstand pressure of the society and children alone.

·                   Sentiments: Cancer Ascendant when its Lord, Moon signifies 6,8,12 Houses or Moon in Ascendant signifying Houses 6,8,12 makes native sentimental. This cannot be matched with girl of aggressive nature. Whereas if Moon for Cancer Ascendant signifying other Houses is passable. Boy can be sentimental but should be to a certain limit.

·                   Cohesive Nature: A number of 5,9,11 and also 2, 7(with 2,5,9,11) give extremely loving and caring nature. Such a husband is ideal which has these houses in majority of planets but not all planets as excess of everything is bad. 

·                   Separative tendencies: Combination 1,6,10 signifies that the native will not adjust with the wife and 1,4,10 gives dry nature. He will hardly interested in wife and even kids.

4. His /her horoscope should be positive for child birth - Combination of child birth are 2,5,11. Boy having 1,4,10 suggests that in the periods of planets signifying 1,4,10 native will not be able to produce children. This combination is also of impotency.

5. Should be of good character and have good personality – The boy in question should not be interested in relations other than wife. It will shake the relations between husband and wife and the whole house obviously. If maximum planets in the Horoscope signify 5,8,12 native undergoes extramarital affair in such periods. However if 5,12 and 5,8 are signified then extramarital affair cannot surely happen in India and more so if 5,12 and 5,8 are signified with 9 and / or 11 physical affair other than spouse is not possible.

6. Should have fairly good professional career and financial growth - It is desirable to see the Horoscope of the boy for profession. Houses 2,6,7,10,11 are positive for profession whereas Houses 5,8,12 are negative for profession.
